- Understanding the functions of consumption and critically reflecting on consumer behaviour, without imposing moral judgements, which generally have more of a deterrent effect than a motivating one.
- Participants reflect on their own needs and approaches to fulfilling them (reflection and discourse skills), take stock of how their consumption decisions are influenced by advertising which targets particular needs and develop ideas for fulfilling these needs in a socially just and environmentally sustainable manner (action competence)
- Participants implement these ideas in an imaginative and vivid manner and make them accessible to other participants or the public (action competence).
