Zero Waste

Launched as a project in 2017, "Zero Waste" has evolved into a nationwide policy and a national initiative. The Zero Waste Information System was established in 2018. It influenced the creation of the Environmental Law in 2018. Furthermore, the 2019 Zero Waste Regulation was published and became a zero waste national policy with the Eleventh Development Plan. The Turkish Environment Agency was established in 2020. The Turkish Green Deal Action Plan was prepared in 2021 under the Paris Agreement. The Climate Change Presidency was established in 2022. That same year, a declaration of intent was signed with the United Nations to expand the Zero Waste Project globally.
